Room checks for families and care teams
A spare phone keeps gentle watch over someone you love and reports what it saw in words, not video. Camera frames are read on the device and thrown away. They are never stored, never uploaded, never seen by anyone.
Runs entirely on a spare phone you already own.
Pose and movement are analysed on the device itself, a couple of times a second. Once a frame is read it is gone. There is no video feed to leak, record or sell.
The phone sends short status updates and alerts to the people you choose: "someone is up and moving", "possible fall, worth checking", "camera can't see the room right now".
Create a family group or a participant group, then invite people you trust. Owners share access as Admin or Watcher, and can take it back at any time.
If the room phone goes dark, gets unplugged, is covered, or stops reporting, the app says so plainly. You will never see a confident "all clear" built on a stale frame.
The same honesty applies to what it can detect: a sudden drop followed by a low posture is raised as a possible fall worth checking, not a diagnosis. Camily is a second pair of eyes, not a medical device and not a replacement for emergency services.
Strict privacy mode removes the image encoders from the app entirely, so a photo cannot be produced by accident. Private zones block sensitive areas of the frame before analysis, and consent is gathered and recorded before monitoring starts.
Care providers get a separate portal for watching whole caseloads across homes, with the same rule: statuses and alerts, never footage.
Two phones is all it takes: a spare phone stays in the room, and your everyday phone shows you how things are.
